The pivotal point of our activities are the regular Sunday satsangs. Satsang forms the core of the Society’s activities and has been held every Sunday from 8am to 10am. Satsang is an opportunity for Amma’s children to come together for group prayers including Amma’s Ashtothram and Archana, Bhajans and Meditation. The Satsang also on request, includes special prayers for individuals and families undergoing hardship and the screening of Amritavarsham, an Amrita TV programme featuring short discourses by Amma and Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri. The Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam is collectively chanted on the first Sunday of every month.
Satsang is open to members as well as non-members, seeking blessing from Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma) for general well-being or for special occasions such as anniversaries and birthdays.
The following activities surround our regular Sunday Satsang:
Amma’s Kitchen comprises a group of members who ensure the availability and serving of meals and refreshments during Sunday Satsang and special events.
On the first Sunday of each month, volunteers at Amrita’s Kitchen prepare and serve meals and refreshments to devotees.
