Children are the world’s wealth, and how we guide and train them will make or mar their future. Amrita Bala Kendra is a tool Amma has provided to ensure that today’s children and youth will grow into good citizens and positive contributors to society.

FOCUS – Values, Traditions & Spiritual Practices



  1. To introduce and interest children (ages 4 – 14) in spiritual learning and living
  2. To try to instil in them  an understanding of spiritual principles and to provide them with methods of applying these simple teachings into their daily lives
  3. To prepare them for the world and for the challenges they will face, by guiding them in the application of Amma’s teachings



The Amrita Bala Kendra has been designed to include a variety of spiritual topics such that the children are immersed in fun, engaging, educational activities that are based on Amma’s spiritual teachings. The activities include:


  • Chanting
  • Bhajan Singing
  • Story Telling
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Celebration of Festivals and their significance
  • Service Projects



Fortnightly on every 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month

10.30am to 12noon

Children will be divided into 2 groups – 4 to 8 years & 9 to 14 years.

Please note that our Bala Kendra Programme is open to children of members.


FEES – There is no fee to enrol in Bala Kendra. However, there will be a charge of $30 per term (3 months) to cover the cost of BK class material and supplies. Donations to Amriteswari Society are always welcome.


REGISTRATION – Our Bala Kendra Programme was launched on 29th September evening at AMMA’s 65th Birthday Celebrations at our Centre. Classes commenced on 6th October 2018. We accept new registrations right through the year.



Classes are held at Amriteswari Society, 3 Hindoo Road, Singapore 209106
