The moon returns to this spot in the heavens\, approximately every 28 days. Karthika is the Nakshatra – star constellation- in which the moon was transiting at the time of Amma’s birth. As such every month on the day of Karthika\, we honour Amma’s birth with Karthika Puja.

All are welcome to attend.\n\nProgramme Schedule: \n– Paduka Puja\n– Amma’s Ashtothram\n– Lalitha Sahasranama Sthothram\n– Arathi\n– Closing Prayers\n\nA monthly birthday is traditionally observed in India based on the moon’s position at the time of birth. The moon returns to this spot in the heavens\, approximately every 28 days. Karthika is the Nakshatra – star constellation- in which the moon was transiting at the time of Amma’s birth. As such every month on the day of Karthika\, we honour Amma’s birth with Karthika Puja.

Satsang is an opportunity for Amma’s children to come together for group prayers including Amma’s Ashtothram and Archana\, Bhajans and Meditation. On the first Sunday of every month\, the Lalitha Sahasranamam in chanted\, and this is followed by the Mahishasura Mardini Sthothram. \nPARTICIPATION  \nSatsang is open to members as well as non-members who seek blessings from Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma) for general well-being or for special occasions such as anniversaries and birthdays.
