The spiritual significance of this holy day is evergreen: light symbolises the triumph of wisdom and goodness over the darkness of ignorance and evil. \nTo commemorate the occasion\, Amriteswari Society Singapore will conduct a Mahāgaṇapati Hōma on the morning of Thursday\, October 31\, 2024. This fire ritual is said to help one overcome the obstacles that stand in the way of attaining success in any noble endeavour. \nMany Hindus associate Dīpāvalī with Lakṣmī\, the Goddess of Wealth and Prosperity. Apropos of this\, Amriteswari Society will also be conducting a participatory Mahālakṣmī Pūja the same morning.
