DESCRIPTION:The regular Sunday Satsangs form the pivotal point of our Society’s activities. Satsang is an opportunity for Amma’s children to come together for group prayers. \nOn our Beloved Amma’s monthly birth star\, we perform the Karthika Puja at our Centre.  A monthly birthday is traditionally observed in India based on the moon’s position at the time of birth. The moon returns to this spot in the heavens\, approximately every 28 days. Karthika is the Nakshatra – star constellation- in which the moon was transiting at the time of Amma’s birth. As such every month on the day of Karthika\, we honour Amma’s birth with Karthika Puja.  \n \n \nThe regular Sunday Satsangs form the pivotal point of our Society’s activities. Satsang is an opportunity for Amma’s children to come together for group prayers including Amma’s Ashtothram and Archana\, Bhajans and Meditation. On the first Sunday of every month\, the Lalitha Sahasranamam in chanted\, and this is followed by the Mahishasura Mardini Sthothram. \nPARTICIPATION  \nSatsang is open to members as well as non-members who seek blessings from Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma) for general well-being or for special occasions such as anniversaries and birthdays. DESCRIPTION:The 108 names of Goddess Lakshmi will be chanted while each individual devotee personally invokes the Goddess and performs the puja while offering flower petals. When done with love and devotion\, this puja is said to bring mental and spiritual wealth\, health and happiness to the individual\, the family and the world.We invite you to join us for this divine blessing.  The Puja will be followed by Prasad and Dinner. The event will continue at 10pm with chanting and bhajans\, as well as the screening of a film on our Beloved Amma. Names of In-Absentia participants are included in the main puja along with all the In-Person participants. \nPlease note: \n\nThere are limited seats for In-Person participation and registration will close once the limit is reached.\nMembers can purchase Puja tickets for their children who are below the age of 18 years and other family members and friends who are also Society members.
