SUMMARY:RETREAT for Children at Kusu Island
DESCRIPTION:A Day of Fun\, Games & Spiritual Activities\nThe Retreat for Children will comprise a range of activities including an enjoyable ferry ride\, nature walk\, art activities\, exciting games and story telling. Children will also be led in bhajan singing and will be provided with valuable guidance for their spiritual journeys. \nThe Retreat will be facilitated by our Bala Kendra’s Sevikas & Sevaks.Pre-Registration is required. \nDate: Sat 13th July 2019 \nTime: 8.30am – 5pm \nVenue: Kusu Island \n(Meeting Point – Singapore Island Cruise Centre\, Marina South Pier\, 31 Marina Coastal Drive\, S 018988)  \nGETTING TO MARINA SOUTH PIER \nVenue: \nSingapore Island Cruise Centre\, 31 Marina Coastal Drive\, S 018988 \n(1 minute walk from Marina South Pier MRT Station. Directions provided at station) \nFor children above the age of 10\, parents are requested to bring your child to the ferry terminal by 8.30am sharp. You may return to the ferry terminal by 5pm to pick up your child after the Retreat. \nFor the children aged 10 and below\, ONE parent is required to accompany the child. \nPlease arrive at the Ferry Terminal by 8.30am sharp. The ferry will leave at 9am. \nHOW TO DRESS\, WHAT TO BRING \nDress Code: \nLong Pants/Skirt and Covered Shoes \n(There may be mosquitoes on the island) \nThings to Bring: \n– Water Bottle \n– Insect Repellent/Mosquito Repellent Patch \n– Umbrella/ poncho \n– Hat/Cap \n– Small Mat \n– Personal Medication (if needed) \n– Change of Clothes (if needed) \nPROGRAMME SCHEDULE \nOpening Activities\n0900 – 1000: Ferry Ride to Kusu Island \n1000 – 1015: Disembark/Walk to Location \n1015 – 1030: Introductions \nGroup 1 (4 – 9)\n1030 – 1115: Interactive Talk \n1115 – 1215: Storytelling by Sevika/ Sevak & Children \n1215 – 1300: Lunch \n1300 – 1345: Bhajans & Nature Walk \n1345 – 1430 :Drawing & Colouring Nature \n‌1430 – 1515: Games \nGroup 2 (10 – 16)\n1030 – 1115: Story Telling by Children \n1115 – 1215: Games & Quiz \n1215 – 1300: Lunch \n1300 – 1345: Bhajans & Nature Walk \n1345 – 1430: Spiritual Talk \n‌1430 – 1515: Q&A \nClosing Activity\n1515 – 1600: Clean Up/ Walk Back to Ferry \nPlease bear in mind that there may be changes to the above schedule \nWHO CAN ATTEND \nThe Retreat is for children between the ages of 4 to 16. \nFor the children aged 10 and below\, ONE parent is required to accompany the child. \nREGISTRATION & PARTICIPATION FEE \nPlease note that the Retreat is for children between the ages of 4 and 16. The children will be divided into groups\, depending on their age and activities will be conducted separately. If your child has special needs\, kindly drop us a line at amrita@amma.org.sg\, before registering for the Retreat. \nWe request parents/guardians to please complete and submit the online Registration Form. \n\nFor current Bala Kendra students\, there is no charge for the Retreat.\nFor children who are not registered in our Bala Kendra Programme\, a fee of $20 per child is payable for the Retreat.\nChildren aged 10 and below are required to be accompanied by ONE Parent/Guardian. This applies to children from both categories A and B. The Fee for parent/Guardian is $30.\n\nPlease note that the fees above are inclusive of the ferry ticket\, lunch & refreshments\, as well as art & any additional materials for children. Do also note that in the event of rain\, the Retreat may be shifted indoors\, to an alternate venue. \nNote: For clarifications on the fee\, kindly email us at: amrita@amma.org.sg \nWe request you to kindly make the payment online\, while registering online. Alternatively\, you may make your payment via PayNow\, before 11th July.
