Navarathri, which literally means ‘nine nights,’ dedicates three days each to worshipping the Divine in the forms of Goddess Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. The tenth day, known as Vijayadasami, is the ‘tenth day of victory.’

Our Navarathri Celebrations will be marked with participatory Poojas that are described below. The first 3 days will be devoted to Goddess Durga, the 4th to 6th days to Goddess Lakshmi and the 7th to 9th days to Goddess Saraswathi. On the 10th day, the Vijayadasami Pooja will be conducted along with the Vidyarambham (Initiation to Writing) ceremony for the young children present. The Celebrations will also include Pada Pooja, chanting of Amma’s Ashtothram, Lalithasahasranamavali and Mahishasuramardhini Sthothram followed by Arathi.

Days 1 to 3 ~ Dedicated to Goddess Durga with Durga Pooja & Durga Ashtothram

Days 7 to 9 ~ Dedicated to Goddess Saraswathi with Saraswathi Pooja & Saraswathi Ashtothram

Thu 18th Oct ~ 7pm to 8.30pm

Day 10 ~ Vijayadasami Pooja (with Vidyarambham & Archana)

For the first 9 days:

Admission & Participation is FREE and pre-registration is not required

For the 10th day (Vijayadasami Pooja):

Admission is FREE. We request you to pre-register to help facilitate logistic arrangements.

You may register as: ATTENDEE (Free), PARTICIPANT (In-Person) OR PARTICIPANT (In-Absentia).

Archana participation (in-person & in-absentia) fee is $10. 

Payment may be made Online or via Cash/Nets at 3 Hindoo Road (on/before 19th Oct).
