Navarathri, which literally means ‘nine nights,’ dedicates three days each to worshipping the Divine in the forms of Goddess Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. The tenth day, known as Vijayadasami, is the ‘tenth day of victory.’

Our Navarathri Celebrations will be marked with participatory Pujas that are described below. The first 3 days will be devoted to Goddess Durga, the 4th to 6th days to Goddess Lakshmi and the 7th to 9th days to Goddess Saraswathi. On the 10th day, the Vijayadasami Puja will be conducted along with the Vidyarambham (Initiation to Writing) ceremony for the young children present. The Celebrations will also include Pada Puja, chanting of Amma’s Ashtothram, Lalithasahasranamavali and Mahishasuramardhini Sthothram followed by Arathi.
